Project Seventy-one

Happy Monday!

Well we had a fun filled weekend at the parks. Sunday my whole family went to Animal Kingdom. We had a blast.

OK we are working on Valentine Cards for the kids to give out during their Valentine's Day Party this Wednesday. I hope to finish my own cards for the family tonight shhhh!

This is my youngest daughter, Mackenzie's card. She is turning 11 next month. Where has the time gone!

OK so this year, I cheated a tad. I was in Target and they had the red notes cards 8 for a dollar. Each of the kids needed to make eight cards, perfect!
So I hand cut the pattern paper, from a paper stack I bought at Michael's Recollection paper pack
81/2 x 11 to a size of 5 x 3.75 inches.
The heart is Stampin Up Elegant Eggplant I cut at 3 inches using the Cricut Craft Room Basics.
OK then I used my Cri Kits pens for the Bee Mine which is The craft Room Basic Font.
The trick is to cut the hearts on layer one. Then one layer two place the words.
First-cut the hearts out
replace your blade with the pen
then "cut" the layer with the words.
That easy!
The Bee is cut with Stampin Up Basic Black, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight.

He is from create  Critter.
I cut him at 3.5 inches.
I hid his face and used a Peachy Keen Everyday Character Faces. I have the assortment pack and this face was the largest face.  I then used my Jelly White pen to highlight the eyes. I added some pink chalk to the cheeks. I then added Glossy Accents to the eyes and the top of his antenna's.

I then coated his cute little wings in Crystal Glitter.

Thanks for looking

Project Sixty-nine

Happy Monday!

Well I am trying to come up with a great card to enter Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge.
I loved this card. I made another one that you will see on Wednesday that I am actually entering into the challenge.

You still have time to enter the challenge.

So card base is a standard 5.5 x 4.25 Stampin Up Elegant Eggplant
The next layer is 5 x 3.75 inches and is pattern paper from Michael's Valentine 6x6 stack.
I then used my cricut Create a Critter to cut the cow layer at 3.5 inches. I hide the face so I could use Peachy Keen Critter Faces.
The base of cow is Chocolate Chip the next layer is from the same Valentine's paper pattern pack, the next layer is Whisper White that I ran through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The last layer is Pirouette Pink. I used Chocolate Chip Ink to make the face. I then used Jelly Roll Glaze pen and white pen on the eyes. I then added pink stickles to the nose.
For the stripes I cut them out of my Cricut. Then used different papers from same paper pattern. Then used my Cuttlebug Divine Swirl folder on the stripes.

The saying Love Moo get it like Love You was made in my cricut Pooh Font at .75 inches. The paper is Elegant Eggplant.

Can't wait to show you the card I am entering on Wednesday!

Project Sixty-eight

Happy Friday!

Hope you start to the weekend is just as fun as mine was. My family is finally better and we went to the Magic Kingdom with friends. It was cold and rainy and it was perfect.

For today's project I was playing with reverse stenciling the words. Not sure if I love it or I could leave it. We are still working on Valentine's Day around here. Many cards to make for our Home School Valentine's Party.

So I used Winnie the Pooh and Friends. This is the honey pot icon. I welded the two images to make the base of the card, Stampin Up Melon Mambo.

I have been playing with the Cricut Craft Room and I am loving it. My old eyes love the big screen.

I them cut the shadow using the same Valentine's pack I have been using Michael's Recollection. I then used. Stampin Up Chocolate Chip, Green Wasabi and Daffodil Yellow.

I wanted some sparkle so I used Stickles to give it a splash!

Project Sixty-seven

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited because I finally joined Peachy Keens Stamp of the Month Club
and my first month stamps arrived the other day. Of course they arrived the day I had an eye exam
and they dilated my eyes and I could not play with them.

So I finally got to play the next day. I have my fingers crossed that I am going to be
able to take the Copics basic workshop that is coming to my area this coming February.
I do need help with my coloring!

This cute little teapot is from the January stamp of the month along with the cute little saying.
So the card is Stampin Up Rich Razzleberry
the next one was a textured white from Basics
The pattern paper is from DCVW
the next was Stampin Up Whisper White I embossed with Cuttlebug not sure the name but it says cuttlebug on it.
The brads are also Stampin Up
The ribbon was a scrap piece I had laying around.
I used Copic Markers to color the teapot and flowers.

Project Sixty-six

Happy Monday!

So Valentine's Day is fast approaching and my girls are in the heart mood.
SO this past two weeks Art project for my girls. Don't forget we homeschool. So towards the holidays we switch from serious art to more holiday craft projects.

Since my whole family loves Disney, my go to site for Disney crafts is
Disney Family here is the URL to the Valentine's Day projects.
Disney Valentine's Day Projects

So the projects the girls made was the Pixie Hollow Tree
The Fairies over at Pixie Hollow have transformed the Main Tree
to be a Love Tree

SO the project has a template that the girls traced onto  Stampin Up Chocolate Chip card stock
The cut out a heart to be a secret message area.
The project has the kids cutting hearts out using a punch, which mom could not find for the life of me. So I cut out hearts using the heart from Plantin schoolbook at 1 inch and at .5 inch. I just used any cut Valentine scraps I could find. They girls did the rest.
Most of you know I adopted two girls a almost 2 years ago. We are in the process if adopting their older sister, I had to share her secret message.

It says "Having a family is the best thing ever I love you"

Project Sixty-five

Welcome to My Mouse Dreams!

So I have to ask who is in love with the New Cricut Explore!!

I think I might be! I have been doing the dance lately about getting a Cameo
this year, but I have always been a huge Cricut Lover. I think this might be the answer to my ideas!

The other new thing I can not wait to play with is I finally joined Peachy Keens Stamp Club. I have always loved their stamps, but I have never been that confident in my coloring abilities. I am hoping to be taking a Copics class soon.

OK so on to todays project. We are getting ready for Valentine's Day around here. The kids will be attending a home school party so we have lots of cards to make. Our home school group is actually Disney based, so yeah more fun.

So I finally broke down and played with the Cricut Craft Room and I LOVED IT!
So I made this card using the stamp image from Create a Critter.
I unlocked the size button and made the base 5.5 x 4.25 and then copy and welded the same image to be the base of the card. The paper is Melon Mambo from Stampin Up.
I then cut the next layer at 5 x 3.75 and the paper is from Michael's Recollection 6x6 Valentine's Pack.
The little stamps are the same image from the base the stamp unlocked and made to be 1 inch squares. I then took Stampin Up Chocolate Chip ink and brushed the edges of the stamps. The paper is from the same paper pack from Michael's.
The letters and Mickey icon are from Mickey Font and are cut with the sized locked at .5 of an inch.
The paper is Stampin Up Chocolate Chip.
